MURRAY, Ky. - James Henry Freeland, 77, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died at 2 p.m. June 25, 2007, at his home.
Born Oct. 3, 1929, in Bertrand, Mo., to the late James H. and Katie Stovall Freeland, he was a technical supervisor for Potlatch/Tetra Pak for 29 years, and retired in 1987. He was of the Missionary Baptist belief.
On Aug. 22, 1950, in Piggott, Ark., he married Zeta White, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Susan Freeland of Vancouver, Wash.; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Joe Copeland of Valparaiso, Ind.; one brother and sister-in-law, Luster and Wanda Freeland of Bowling Green; one sister, Toni Conner of Sikeston; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Campbell of Sikeston and Billie Huitt of Little Rock, Ark.; and three grandchildren, Chad Freeland, Jenni Freeland and Luke Copeland. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Alfred Mott, Cecil Mott and Clyde Freeland; and two sisters, Bernice Manley and Glenda Barnett.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Jeff Posegate, pastor of First United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
