Cornelia McCrate

CAPE GIRARDEAU - Cornelia McCrate, 94, died Feb. 25, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center.

Born July 15, 1910, in Columbus Grove, Ohio, daughter of the late Joseph C. and Delphine Dunne McCrate, she was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Lima, Ohio. A graduate of St. Eustachius High School in Portageville, she lived in Lima most of her life where she was retired from Westinghouse Electric.

She is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Charlotte C. McCrate of Cape Girardeau; and one sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Luke Meatte of Chesterfield.

Preceding her in death were two sisters, Bertha Bryan and Delphine Alsobrook; and two brothers, Joseph E. McCrate and David P. McCrate.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Eustachius Catholic Church in Portageville with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating.

Burial followed in the Portageville Cemetery.
