PORTAGEVILLE - Darrell Gene Brown, 51, died Oct. 11, 2004, at his home in Portageville.
Born Sept. 6, 1953, in the Jay Wye community, to Hazel Green Brown of Portageville and the late Clarence Wilbur Brown, he was employed with Seigel-Roberts Inc. in Portageville. A member of the Assembly of God Church in Portageville, he served as a past commander for the Royal Rangers.
On Nov. 9, 1980, at Portageville, he married Theresa Ruddell, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are: two sons, Tyler Brown and Derrick Brown of Portageville; one daughter, Tara Brown of Portageville; four brothers, Larry Brown of Poplar Bluff, Gary Brown of Marston, Don Brown of New Madrid and Mike Brown of St. Louis; three sisters, Brenda King of Sikeston, Debbie Pyles of Matthews and Laura Mayberry of Portageville; and two grandchildren, Skylar and Chloe Watkins.
His father preceded him in death on Jan. 14, 1985.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today at the DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Eugene Poole officiating.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry, Gary, Don, Mike, Joe and Leslie Brown.
