BRANSON - John Griffin, 67, formerly of Charleston, died at 9:20 a.m. Oct. 27, 2004, at his home.
Born Sept. 21, 1937, in Charleston, son of the late Leland Britton and Willie Mae "Bill" Baker Griffin, he lived in Branson for many years and was a self-employed building contractor.
He was married July 28, 1956 to Ruth Hurley Griffin, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Marcia Griffin, Karen Griffin and Robin Griffin of Branson; one brother, Joe Bob Griffin of Holly Grove, Ark.; three sisters, Sue Norris and Jean Boyd of DeWitt, Ark., and Margaret Glass of Charleston; and three granddaughters and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Spencer Griffin; and one sister, Betty Lee Powell.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Snapps-Bearden Funeral Home in Branson, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday.
