Elizabeth Wondel

PAINTON - Elizabeth Wondel, 88, died March 27, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born July 29, 1914, at Delta, daughter of the late Charles and Rosie Welker Surface, she was a member of the Arbor General Baptist Church.

On Nov. 2, 1932, at Benton, she married Emory Wondel who preceded her in death on April 16, 1987.

Survivors include: four sons, Emory L. Wondel of Wright City, Walter Wondel of Warrenton, Donald Wondel of Painton and Ronald Wondel of O'Fallon; two daughters, Betty McKee of Painton and Evelyn Italiano of St. Charles; and 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

One son, one granddaughter, four sisters and three brothers also preceded her in death.

Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance with Bob Bradford and Kermet Patton officiating.

Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
