MORLEY - Mrs. Wanda Holley was complimented with a birthday party Sunday afternoon.

SIKESTON - Races between sailboats, cars and rockets will be featured during the annual Scout-O-Rama to begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Kingsway Mall, following a parade through downtown Sikeston.

SIKESTON - Several area women are among those who will compete Saturday for the title of Mrs. Missouri. Among the 29 contestants vying for the title are Donna DeLaney and Deborah McConnell of Sikeston, Debra Ringer of Dexter and Jannie Kenedy of Matthews.

NEW MADRID - The New Madrid Optimist Club installation was conducted Wednesday evening. Missouri Optimist International President Charlie Wiles was on hand for the chartering of the organization. Officers in the newly formed organization are Buck Hunter, president; Charles Spitler and Lewis Recker, vice presidents; and Larry Rost, secretary-treasurer.

SIKESTON - A new Medicap Pharmacy, owned by Script Masters Inc., is scheduled to open by the end of the week, according to manager, pharmacist and co-owner Ronnie Hamra, R.Ph.

SIKESTON - The ninth annual judged show for area artists residing within a 100-mile radius of Sikeston will be open to the public from April 25-30 at the Savings of America, 810 N. Main St. Entries will be accepted on April 23 and 24.
