CHARLESTON - Dora Forrester Goodale, 86, died at 7:45 a.m. Sept. 30, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Aug. 7, 1917, at East Prairie to the late Orb and Maude Farrow Forrester, she had lived in Mississippi County most of her life. Employed from 1950 to 1979 with the Brown Shoe Company as a cutter, she was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Charleston and the VFW Women's Auxiliary in Charleston.

On June 29, 1943, she married Hugh Edd Goodale, who preceded her in death on June 20, 1994.

Survivors include: two sisters, Esther Henry of East Prairie and Justine Carr of Round Rock, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

One sister, Thelma Faire, preceded her in death.

Visitation will begin after 6 p.m. Thursday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. George White officiating.

Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park.
