EAST PRAIRIE - Ruby Nell Johnson, 88, died at 1:45 p.m. Sept. 23, 2005, at her residence.
Born April 10, 1917, in Tipton County, Tenn., to the late Henry Taylor and Ruby Estelle Sough, she lived in Mississippi County most of her life. A retired seamstress having worked at the Prairie Manufacturing in East Prairie, she was a member of the Full Gospel Church in East Prairie.
On Oct. 19, 1935, at Lilbourn, she married Tommy Johnson, who preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 1989.
Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death also.
Survivors include; two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Imogene and Jerry Britt and Carolyn Margaret and Eddy Stockman of East Prairie; three grandchildren, Kevin Stockman of East Prairie, Rodney Britt of Holts Summit and Jeannie McCord of Jackson; five great-grandchildren, Callie and Betsy Britt, Lexi Stockman and Shelby Kate and Carson McCord; and two great-
stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Jones and Emily Massey.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Shelby Funeral Home where services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday. Mike Johnson and Gerald Penn will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Stockman, Rodney Britt, Steve McCord, Tommy Smotherman, Claude Thomure and Dennis Carter.
