SIKESTON - Geneva DeWitt, 86, died March 15, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Oct. 9, 1919, in Hagarville, Ark., to the late Earl Jefferson and Criner Snow Newton, she was a housewife and of the Baptist faith.
In 1938, she married Wallace "Link" DeWitt, who preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 1975.
Also she was preceded in death by one brother, one sister and one granddaughter.
Survivors include: seven sons and six daughters-in-law, Lynell and Janie DeWitt, Lonnie and Shirley DeWitt, Jeff and Betty DeWitt, Larry DeWitt, Gary and Debi DeWitt and Phil and Teresa DeWitt of Sikeston and Steven and Laurie DeWitt of St. Augustine, Fla.; and one daughter, Janice Sue Clayton of Little Rock, Ark.; four sisters, Fay Box of Sikeston, Vera Barton and Sallie Matthews of Little Rock and Valeria Edwards of Chicago, Ill; and 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one great-stepgrandson and one great-great-
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
