CARUTHERSVILLE - Two men are scheduled to be arraigned today in connection with a burglary and fire at a rural Pemiscot County residence.
According to Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Greenwell, Ronald Harvey Howell, 48, and Jason Wayne Potts, 31, both of rural Steele, are facing charges of second degree burglary and felony stealing. The two were charged in connection with the early morning fire and burglary of the D.W. Martin residence near Holland on March 7.
Following an investigation by Pemiscot County Sheriff deputies and the Missouri State Fire Marshal's office, the two men were arrested. Some items taken during the burglary were recovered.
Additional charges are expected to be filed once the Pemiscot County Prosecuting Attorney reviews the state fire marshal's report, Greenwell said.
