SIKESTON - Benjamin Franklin Sullivan Jr., 88, died at 1:52 p.m. Nov. 10, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Oct. 29, 1917, in Mountain View, Ark., son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Rosetta Pitts Sullivan Sr., he was a truck driver for 24 years with Gordon Transport Co. in Memphis, Tenn., and a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church.
On June 26, 1949, in Osceola, Ark., he married Erna M. Wills, who preceded him in death on Feb. 5, 2005.
Three brothers and one daughter, Marie Reeves, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: two daughters, Evelyn Ayers of Buckley, W.Va., and Patsy Wells of Knoxville, Tenn.; two sisters, Mary Spence of Sikeston and Lorene McConnaughhay of Gladewater, Texas; three grandsons, three granddaughters and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, with A.J. Wollenburg, pastor of the Concordia Lutheran Church, officiating.
Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
