SCOTT CITY - Cleo Neville "Ick" Bain, 95, died at 7:40 a.m. Oct. 26, 2004, at his home.
Born Jan. 3, 1909, in Advance, son of the late Jessie Cleveland and Mary Francis "Fanny" Thorpe Bain, he retired in 1971 as an engineer for the Cotton Belt Railroad. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scott City and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
On Oct. 26, 1942, in St. Louis, he married Audrey Rama Benner who preceded him in death on Nov. 25, 1997.
Survivors include: one son, Edward L. Bain of Temple, Texas; two daughters, Janet Null of Scott City and Debbie Pate of Benton; and six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
Three brothers and one grandchild also preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Eades officiating.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
