CHARLESTON - Irma Louise Lux, 89, formerly of Memphis, Tenn., died July 20, 2003, at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.
Born Aug. 13, 1913, in Fort Wayne, Ind., daughter of the late Franklin W. and Jennie Golden Luther, she was a member of Hunter Memorial First Presbyterian Church in Sikeston.
On Aug. 14, 1943, in Chicago, Ill., she married John Joseph Lux who preceded her in death on June 27, 2001.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, William A. and Marthalyn Lux of Sheffield, Ala.; one sister, Martha Ellen Lemmon of Albion, Ind.; two granddaughters and husbands, Anna Kathryn and Rakesh Gupta of Pasadena, Calif., and Jessica Louise and Darren Guillory of Eureka Springs, Ark.; two great-grandchildren, Wilson Xavier Guillory and Rachel Charline Guillory of Eureka Springs; and her caregivers, Pearl Morgan of East Prairie and Marilyn Mathis and Mary Smith of Sikeston.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Walter Luther, Arthur Luther and James Luther; and three sisters, Georgiana Braun, Ruth Bouse and Rosella Plumb.
Visitation is from 2 p.m. Sunday until time for a memorial service at 3 p.m. at Hunter Memorial First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Rufus McLean, pastor, will officiate.
Honorary pallbearers will be: John D. Story, Harry Warren, Rick Reed, Reggie Young, Glen Barks, Mike Geske, Ken Rubenacker and Wayne Noe.
Nunnelee Funeral Chapel of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
