Born May 23, 1933, in Binger, Okla., daughter of the late Willie Birdie and Iris Hightower Thompson, she was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista.
Her husband, Robert M. Sterrett, survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Bettina Moxley of Charleston, Mo., Bridget Luckert of Ottawa, Kan., and Bali Ree Tucker of Farmington, Ark.; one sister, Linda Rebecca Thompson of Lawton, Okla.; one brother, Jim Thompson of Topeka, Kan.; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at the Fayetteville V.A. National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark.
Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
