Born June 21, 1939, son of the late Elmer and Retta Barks Hobeck, he had co-owned H & T Builders in Jackson. A former employee of Lincoln McBride, he co-owned and operated Hobeck Siding Company with his sons for the past 20 years. He attended Good News Christian Center in Jackson and was a member of the Cape County Coon Hunters Club.
On Feb. 11, 1961, he married Ruth Ann Slinkard who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Gina Hobeck of Millersville and Mark and Tina Hobeck of Jackson; one daughter, Jenny Hobeck of Sikeston; one brother Floyd Hobeck of Daisy; two sisters-in-law, Verna Hobeck of Daisy and Inez Hobeck of Jackson; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Milford Hobeck and Elmer Lee Hobeck.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Johnny Seabaugh will officiate.
Burial will follow in the New Salem Cemetery at Daisy.
