Born Dec. 8, 1944, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of LaVern Martha Margaret Sanders of Scott City and the late Fred K. Wolfe, she was an assembler for Blair Packaging and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ferguson.
On May 16, 1965, in Scott City, she married Lyman "Boyd" Simmons who survives of the home.
Survivors also include: two sons, Tracy Simmons of Houston, Miss., and Brian Simmons of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Angela Gross of Fruitland; one sister, Eileen McMurran of St. Louis; and six grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
One sister preceded her in death.
Visitation begins at 4 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Robert Azinger will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery near Commerce.
Pallbearers will be: Scott Sander, Danny Wise, Jerry Ancell, John Eagan, Bill Eagan and David Cook.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Jeff Ware and Jerry Pettit.
