Wilbur Preston

Born June 16, 1925, in Lincoln, Ill., son of the late John M. and Rosetta Hall Preston, he was a farmhand and security guard before retiring.

Survivors include: one son, Richard Marvin Preston of Peoria, Ill.; two daughters, Sharon Beck of Sikeston and Cindy Kennedy of Alton; two brothers, Wayne Preston and Richard Preston of Mason City, Ill.; one sister, Dorothy Falterman of Franklin, La.; and five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Four brothers, two sisters and three great-grandchildren preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Silent Hills Cemetery near Sikeston.
