Sikeston jumped out to a 20-8 first quarter lead but held the Lady Eagles to only three points to hold a 33-11 lead at the half.
"We knew that Oran wasn't that strong so I had a little trouble getting the girls started," said Sikeston coach Lee Brooks. "But, I thought Oran had some good talent."
Oran, made up of mostly freshmen and sophomores, had trouble breaking the Lady Bulldogs' full-court press, turning the ball over many times.
"We wanted to come out and display some dominance and get our kids on the right track and not let (Oran) in the game," Brooks said of implementing the full-court press. "Sometimes you have a tendency to play down against the teams you are playing against and we wanted to avoid that."
The game also marked the return of Robyn Morris who had missed the last three weeks because of an arm injury. The sophomore finished with 10 points.
"Tonight we wanted to let (Morris) come out and play," Brooks said. "She said she was healthy and I thought she really put on a good display tonight."
Allison Blurton led the Lady Bulldogs with 14 points while Whitney McCray finished with 10.
Oran was led by Hanna Seyer's nine points.
Sikeston (11-8) will be in action tonight when they travel to Scott City to take on the Lady Rams.
