The Budweiser Clydesdales from St. Louis visited Sikeston Wednesday sponsored by Ralph Distributing and Anheuser-Busch. The Clydesdales, who are bred for their tremendous strength and are descended from the great war horses of Europe, area living symbol of Anheuser-Busch, the largest brewer in the world. The horses stand 18 hands tall at the shoulders and weigh between 2,000 and 2,300 pounds. Each year they travel more than 100,000 miles and appear in over 500 events dazzling audiences with their precision, grace and power.
