PEORIA, Ill. -- Virginia Dean Walls, 69, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., and St. Louis died at 8:20 p.m. Feb. 29, 2004, at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria.
Born Dec. 8, 1934, in Sikeston, she was the daughter of the late Lonzo and Mary Etta Stovall Murphy.
On May 3, 1952, in Sikeston, she married Carl Lynell Little, who preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 1971.
She married William "Joe" Walls on June 4, 1974, in Sikeston, and he survives of the home in Peoria.
Other survivors include: one son, Rick Little of Asheboro, N.C.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Dusty Laursen of Asheboro and Marietta and Joe Sodowski of Germantown Hills; four brothers, Dean Murphy of Jefferson City, Mo., Gene Murphy of Sikeston, Larry Murphy of Alliance, Ohio, and Jerry Murphy of Pensacola, Fla.; two sisters, Barbara Murray of Sikeston and Lucille Mills of Houston, Texas; and six grandchildren.
Two brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Charles Warren, pastor of Sufficient Grace Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Sikeston, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
