CAPE GIRARDEAU - Eula Sides, 86, died at 3:25 p.m. Feb. 23, 2004, at the Lutheran Home.
Born Nov. 15, 1917, in Advance, daughter of the late Marion and Edith Winchester Stuckey, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. She was manager for Bib-N-Tuck Children's Store and was a receptionist for Dr. Dean Edwards for eight years before retiring at age 80.
On Feb. 24, 1945, at Hernando, Miss., she married Thomas L. Sides who preceded her in death on April 6, 1984.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Lee Sides, in March 2001.
Survivors include: six grandchildren, Steven Sides of Barnhart, Cindy Flottmann of Champaign, Ill., Pete Sides of Cleveland, Ohio, and Denise Woodruff, Diana Herr and Lori Minnella of St. Louis; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Genny Menz of Benton and Leola Graves of LaGrange, Ky.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Jay White will officiate.
Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
