DEXTER - Wilma Beulah Adams, 97, died Feb. 24, 2004, at her home.
Born Nov. 4, 1906, in Parma, daughter of the late Walter E. and Lelie Smith Howell, she was a member of the Bernie Nazarene Church.
On Feb. 16, 1924, at Piggott, Ark., she married William Oades Adams who preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 1994.
Survivors include: two sons, William Bud Adams of Navarre, Fla., and Marvin Adams of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Welta Young of Dexter and Martha Hampton of Minooka, Ill.; four sisters, Mary Davis of Dexter, Willie Carlsen of St. Charles, Dorothy Botsch of Bernie and Opal Rodgers of Jackson; and nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Rubert Howell, Rueben Howell and Jack Howell; and three sisters, Virginia Smith, Ruth Faulkner and Gladys Smith.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Don Wells will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
