Born April 16, 1924, in rural Fagus, daughter of the late Harley and Addie Looney Schrader, she was a member of the Fagus General Baptist Church. She retired as an inspector for Elder Manufacturing in Dexter and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
On July 11, 1946, at Chicago, she married Leon Marcus who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Gloria Bell of Bloomfield; and four grandchildren, one stepgrandchild, six great-grandchildren and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Gaylord Leon Marcus; four brothers, Buford Schrader, Carl Schrader, Willard Schrader and Claude Schrader; and one sister, Pearl Schrader.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Gary Hancock will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
