Speakout 2/23

Monday, February 23, 2004

Mike, could you print a list of properties that are on the land clearance bill and the names of the owners of those properties?

Yes we can and will shortly.

In his 1985 memoir about the war, Gen. Vo Nguyen Giap wrote that if it weren't for organizations like Kerry's Vietnam Veterans Against the War, Hanoi would have surrendered to the U.S. - according to Fox News Channel war historian Oliver North. That's why, he predicted the Vietnam War issue "is going to blow up in Kerry's face. People are going to remember Gen. Giap saying if it weren't for these guys (Kerry's group), we would have lost," North told radio host Sean Hannity on Feb. 10, 2004. "The Vietnam Veterans Against the War encouraged people to desert, encouraged people to mutiny - some used what they wrote to justify fragging officers," noted the former Marine lieutenant colonel, who earned two purple hearts in Vietnam. "John Kerry has blood of American soldiers on his hands," North said. Oh, by the way, remember commanding officer Turnipseed, the guy the Democrat Press Corps sighted as their iron clad "evidence" as they attacked the President's spokesperson repeatedly and snarlingly with saliva dripping from their fangs in a so-called press conference on Feb. 10? It turns out that Turnipseed, who the Democrats claim said George Bush did not show up for duty at the Alabama National Guard, now asserts on Feb. 11, that he, himself, wasn't even there at that Alabama location during that infamous six-month period the Democrats have fabricated and repeated in every election to smear George Bush. Now, finally, Turnipseed says he didn't even know Bush was supposed to come there, and has no recollection if he was there or not (over 30 years ago) because he wasn't there at the time in question himself! I wonder if we'll see wall-to-wall coverage of that little revelation by our unbiased press in our morning, noon, and night unbiased news hour.

Simply put, fellow Americans, if you're a Democrat, you're gay, you believe in abortions, you're a murderer. You don't believe in war (take on past notes when others strike against our country) - in other words, you've got a yellow stripe down your back.

Not all Democrats are idiots. Just the ones who vote for a Democrat.

I want to take my hat off to Mel Gibson. I never realized he is a Christian man, but he is producing the movie "Passion of Jesus Christ." I have seen some of the scenes on television and I believe this movie will touch more people than any movie that has ever been made. I don't believe anyone can go to the theater and see this movie without shedding tears. I've seen many religious movies, The Ten Commandments, Jesus of Nazareth - but I just hope that those who are living in this world (the sinners) will see this movie and will be touched. I want to thank Mel Gibson and all those who took part in it and brought this movie out because I understand that no movie studio would touch this movie. But Mel Gibson had the guts, the nerve and the love to produce this movie.

I'd like to tell the parents and grandparents how proud I am of you for putting valentines in the paper and telling them how much you love them. Sometimes actions speak louder than really loud hurting words. Sometimes we need those little things to remind us and show us how important you are in our lives. I have great respect for you.

Could you tell me the status of the Fleming Warehouse, please?

Negotiations are currently under way to sell the facility and locate a new industry there.
