EAST PRAIRIE - Sidney Lee and Kandi B. Staples Jr. are the parents of their first child, a son, born at 6:04 p.m. Jan. 6, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Landry Welch Staples weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces and was 20-inches long.

Mrs. Staples is the former Kandi Barksdale, daughter of Jean H. Barksdale of East Prairie and the late William Richard Barksdale. She is a vocal music teacher.

Staples, son of Joyce Ann Staples of East Prairie and the late Sidney L. Staples Sr., is a maintenance supervisor.

BERTRAND - Bryan Daniel and Crystal Ann Marshall are the parents of their third child, second son, born at 5:07 p.m. Jan. 8, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Bryson Daniel Marshall weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces and was 20 1/2-inches long.

The former Crystal Vaughn, Mrs. Marshall is the daughter of Victor and Carol Marshall of Sikeston.

Marshall is the son of Danny and Connie Marshall of Bertrand.

SIKESTON - Tishania Talisha T. Walker is the mother of her second child, first daughter, born Jan. 6, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. Angele Jene Bratcher weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces and was 17 1/2-inches long.

Grandmother is Ernastine Bonner.
