CABOOL - Carl Richard Jarrett, 59, died Jan. 24, 2004, at his home, following a brief illness.
Born Aug. 10, 1944, son of the late Harvey and Ella Elliott Jarrett, he owned and operated Jarrett Implement Sales in Cabool and was a member of Hamilton Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
On Dec. 19, 1964, he married Susan Jane Elwood who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Mike Burgess of Cabool; one son, Justin Jarrett of Cabool; one sister, Joyce Adams of St. Charles; one brother, Garry Jarrett of Cabool; four grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, including Randy Jarrett, whom he helped raise.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Jarrett; one brother, Virgil Jarrett; and one sister, Violet Clayton.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Cabool Christian Church with Bob Martin, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Jarrett Cemetery.
Elliott-Gentry Funeral Home of Cabool is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be: Jim Hamilton, Rudy Grise, Gene Davis, Ray Carmen, Steve Foster and Richard Taylor.
