GRAYRIDGE -- Mike and Donna Evans have announced the engagement of their daughter, Amber Cruse, to Eric Black, son of Johnny and Betty Black of Bloomfield.

The future bride will be a 2004 graduate of Richland High School in Essex.

A 2000 graduate of Bloomfield High School, the prospective bridegroom is stationed with the U.S. Army in Arizona.

A May wedding is being planned.
