FULTON - Jimmie R. McGee, 59, died Nov. 27, 2006, at Boone Hospital Center.
Born Oct. 21, 1947, in Sikeston, to the late G.R. "Ray" and Gertrude Humphries McGee, he worked 25 years for Local Union 513 as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge in Plato, the VFW Post 2657 and a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
On July 24, 1977, he married Barbara Johnson who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Susan McGee of Harrisburg and Shannon and Jennifer Baumgartner of Millersburg; one stepson, Rick Morse of Fulton; three daughters and a son-in-law, Kristi McGee of Columbia, Sheila and Jim Kern of Fulton and Dakota McGee of the home; two brothers, David McGee and Larry McGee of Piedmont; four sisters, Barbara Trankle of Lutesville, Bonnie Whitehurst of Iuka, Miss., Bobbie Sims of Friendswood, Texas and Billie Jo Grindstaff of Marble Hill; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Schmitt.
Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. today at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Ron Baker will officiate.
Burial will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens.
