Meeks' 25 holds off Risco

Tuesday, February 10, 2004

RISCO -- The Risco Tigers lost a hard fought game to Delta C-7 Monday night 71-65.

Delta C-7's Brad Meeks scorched the nets for 25 points including seven 3-pointers in leading the Chargers to the win.

"It was a real good game," said Risco coach Brandon Blankenship. "It seemed like every time we would get close they would hit a big shot. Meeks hit two or three 3-pointers in a row on us."

Andrew Halford scored 21 in the losing cause while Darren Martin and Dustin Patterson each chipped in 13 points.

"I felt like we played well, we just got beat" Blankenship said. "Usually with the games we lost you can point to this or that we did wrong but tonight (Delta C-7) just got hot at the right time."

Risco (9-11) will host the Bell City Cubs Friday night.
