SIKESTON - Two employees of Cott Beverages received honors from the company recently.
Shirley Burton was selected as the 2003 recipient of the Ron Duckworth Award. This award is presented to the employee who shows dedication above and beyond their assigned work duties. Burton joined Cott on May 15, 2000, and is the continuous improvement coordinator. She received her Six Sigma Black Belt in July 2002.
The chairperson of the Employee's Activities Committee and Employee's Concern Committee, Burton is an active member of the Safety Committee, Audit and 5 "S" Teams.
Burton and her husband Larry resides in Bloomfield.
Phillip Vinson was named the "Employee of the Year" for Cott Beverages.
Vinson was chosen for this honor by a vote of his peers. Joining the Cott team at the Sikeston location on March 28, 1994, Vinson is a past member of the Warehouse Optimization Team and the Waste Kaizen Event. He is a current member of the Employee's Activity Committee, Inventory Count Team and 5 "S" Team.
Vinson along with his wife Emily resides in East Prairie.
