PARMA -- Lula Mae Rutledge, 85, died March 18, 2007, at Gold Living Center of Malden.
Born July 21, 1921, at Vardamon, Miss., daughter of the late Thomas Nolan and Lucina McKenny Nolan, she had worked as an outreach worker with Delta Area Economic Opportunity Corp. of Dexter. She was a member of the Mount Calvary Church of Parma.
On Feb. 17, 1947, at Houston, Miss., she married Myles T. Rutledge, who preceded her in death on May 3, 1974.
She was also preceded in death by one son in infancy, Willie E. Rutledge; two brothers, Ed Nolan and Dolph Nolan; and two sisters, Rosemary Payne and Willie Essie Pratt.
Survivors include: two sons, Johnnie M. Rutledge of Parma and Thomas Earl Connor of East St. Louis, Ill.; one sister, Johnnie Ruth Luster of Alorton, Ill.; and four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Rainey-
Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie with the Rev. Rufus Williamson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery at Malden.
