DIEHLSTADT -- Malcolm J. Green, 72, died at 9:29 p.m. Dec. 10, 2003, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born August 25, 1931, in Hayti, son of the late Malcolm J. and Mary Elizabeth Green Sr., he had lived in Diehlstadt since 1963 after moving from St. Louis where he had been employed with the Painters Union 2341 as a drywall hanger. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of the General Baptist Church in Diehlstadt.
On Jan. 31, 1953, he married Katie Ione Allen who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Karen Green of Cedar Hill, Ricky and Lana Green of Benton and Wayne and Denise Green of Fort Eustis, Va.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Elizabeth and Charles Sanders and Nancy and Earl Huff of Ocala, Fla.; one brother, Jerry Green of Ferriday, La.; three sisters, Opal Brummet and Dorothy Brown of Hayti and Rose Clark of Bentonca, Miss.; and 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is after 10 a.m. Saturday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston until service time at 1 p.m. The Rev. Raymond Hannah of Farmington and the Rev. Mark Odle, pastor of the General Baptist Church of Diehlstadt, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
