Local team headed to World Series

The SEMO Redbirds 13-year-old baseball team recently finished first in the St. Peters Father's Day Open NIT, and first in the Holiday Inn Classic NIT in Cape Girardeau. With the wins they have earned a berth to the USSSA "AAA" World Series in Broken Arrow, Okla., in July.
