EAST PRAIRIE - Joyce Jewel Brown, 61, died Feb. 5, 2004, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.
Born June 19, 1942, at Hayti to the late Frank Pride and Josie Holt Brown, she lived in East Prairie for 40 years then moved to Ste. Genevieve, where she resided for 10 years, before returning to East Prairie. A retired nurse, she was a member of the Ste. Genevieve Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two sons, David Lee Gaskins of East Prairie and William Eugene Armer of Sikeston; three daughters, Barbara Ann Taylor of Bentonville, Ark., and Joann Seals and Wanda Lynn Pugh of East Prairie; three brothers, Frankie Pride of Ste. Genevieve and Charles Pride and William Pride of Steele; and 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Linda Jean Gaskins, and one brother, Leon Foster, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Shelby Funeral Home where services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Kenneth Gibson, pastor of the Living Water Fellowship in Charleston, will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.
