Murph signs with SIU

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Former New Madrid County Central football standout Brian Murph signed a letter of intent with Southern Illinois University in Carbondale on Wednesday. Murph, a 6-foot-1, 175 pound wide receiver, caught 14 passes for 225 yards in eight games for Butler County Community College last season. The Howardville native was an all-conference performer for NMCC in 2000 and 2001.
