STEELE - Joe Walton Dudley, 63, formerly of Dexter, died March 7, 2004, at his home.

Born April 22, 1940, at Braggadocio, son of the late Russell "Chic" and Cassie Walton Dudley, he was an insurance adjuster for Shield of Shelter.

Survivors include: two sons, James Dudley and Jeff Dudley of Dexter; one daughter, Anita Rogers of St. Louis; two brothers, Noel Dudley of Braggadocio and Russell Dudley of Trenton, N.J.; two sisters, Nona McDaniel of Collinsville, Ill., and Cassie Johnson of Caruthersville; and five grandchildren.

Visitation begins at 3:30 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where a memorial service will be conducted at 5 p.m. The Rev. Frank Bain will officiate.
