SIKESTON - Walter John Leisure, 60, formerly of Sikeston and Lawrence, Kan., died Aug. 5, 2004, in Carriacou, Grenada, West Indies, while aboard his sailboat, of an apparent heart attack.

Born March 22, 1944, in Wichita, Kan., son of the late Walter Leisure and Blanche and Glenn Replogle, he had been employed with Associated Electric Cooperative in New Madrid. Following his retirement, he and his wife cruised the Caribbean aboard their sailboat, Illusions.

His wife, Debbie Jones Milam Leisure, survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one stepdaughter, Jennifer Burk of Lilbourn; one stepson, Jason Milam of Portageville; three stepbrothers, Rex Replogle of Cedaredge, Colo., Ray Replogle of Wayne, Neb., and Don Replogle of Oklahoma; and four stepgrandchildren.

LaQua Brothers Crematorium of St. Georges, Grenada, handled arrangements. No services are scheduled.

Private interment will be at a later date.
