SIKESTON - Arzelia E. Jones, 80, died March 21, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Oct. 1, 1923, in Tiptonville, Tenn., daughter of the late Auston and Susie Organ Haley, she was a member of Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include: six daughters, Patsy Ann Clark and Brenda Jones of Sikeston, Alene Straghter of East St. Louis, Ill., Helen Marie Jones of Cape Girardeau, Maggie Sue Jones of Farmington and Annette Clark of St. Louis; eight sons, Southern Jones II, Fred Lee Wims and Leon Jones of Sikeston, Bobby G. Jones and Larry Jones of St. Louis and Joe Lee Jones, Richard Jones and Tony C. Jones of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Bernice Flye and Erma Walker of Sikeston and Janet Miller of Los Angeles; four brothers, Joe W. Haley and Eugene Haley of Cape Girardeau, Cletus Haley of Sikeston and John L. Lucas of Moberly; and 54 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. Saturday until service time at 1 p.m. at Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Sylvester Morgan will officiate.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.

Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
