BENTON -- Lora Ellen Clinton, 73, died at 5:15 p.m. March 20, 2007, at her home.
Born Mary 29, 1933, in Morley, daughter of the late Ralph Dewey and Ruby Lawson Abernathy, she had worked at International Shoe and Homestead Distributing in Sikeston and for 20 years as an examiner at Thorngate Limited in Chaffee. She was a member and past matron of Morley Chapter 342 Order of the Easter Star and the First Baptist Church in Oran.
On Feb. 4, 1951, at Piggott, Ark., she married Troy Davis Clinton who preceded her in death on March 29, 1968.
One son, Troy Davis Clinton Jr., also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son, Ralph Hilton Clinton of Jefferson City; one daughter, Fonda Ellen Clinton of Benton; one stepdaughter, Sharon Kay Kimbrell of Centralia; one sister, Lois Cook of Cape Girardeau; and one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Benton where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Ed Carter will officiate.
Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley.
