MORLEY - Mr. and Mrs. Jim Burris of Morley are parents of a daughter born Tuesday at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

SIKESTON - Had the game between the Sikeston Bulldogs and the Kennett Indians progressed the way it started, the Bulldogs would have found themselves on the wrong end of the score. Dennis Ziegenhorn, the second team fullback, got a chance to shine as he scored the final touchdown in the Bulldogs' 35-7 win over the Indians.

SIKESTON - The Sikeston Little Theatre will celebrate 25 years of productions Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Chaney-Harris Cultural Center. The program will consist of musical numbers from approximately 20 of the productions presented by the Sikeston Little Theatre in the past 25 years.

NEW MADRID - Frannie Trum of Sikeston was crowned Miss American Legion Fall Festival during the annual celebration which ended Saturday at New Madrid. The 1994 royalty are: Frannie Trum, daughter of Rick and Mattie Trum of Sikeston; Jennifer McDonald, first runner-up, the daughter of Eddie and Christy McDonald of Sikeston; and Holly Hartwell, second runner-up, the daughter of Eddie and Cathy Hartwell of Qulin.

POPLAR BLUFF - Ten-month-old Landon Jeremiah Cook was crowned king in his division (baby boys under a year old) at a pageant sponsored by Sunburst conducted in Poplar Bluff on Sept. 19. He was awarded a banner and trophies for being most photogenic, and having the prettiest hair and eyes. Also, the sponsor paid his entry fee to attend the state pageant to be held in the spring.
