JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Mary Anna Duer, 91, formerly of Puxico, Mo., died March 20, 2004, at her home.
Born Oct. 31, 1912, in Blue Springs, Mo., she married Milo Duer on Sept. 30, 1937, and he preceded her in death on March 16, 1991.
She assisted her husband as pastor of the First Baptist Church in Puxico from 1963-1966. She was dean of women at the Hannibal-LaGrange College in Hannibal, Mo., from 1967-1980 and returned to Puxico in 1989. She moved to Florida in 1997.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Dr. Dale Brandt of Jacksonville; one son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Shirley Clinton Duer of Dexter, Mo.; one sister, Opal Cleland of Fort Smith, Ark.; one brother, Robert Stone of Stone Mountain, Ga.; and six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation begins at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Puxico, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Douglas Clinton of Covington, Tenn., officiating.
Burial will follow in the Duck Creek Cemetery.
