Bassbusters hold banquet

SIKESTON - The Bootheel BassBusters held their annual banquet to award prizes for the 2003 tournament season.

The banquet was held at Bo's Bar-B-Q and Grill on March 6th. The following awards were given at the banquet: Angler-of-the-Year - Leven Cox; 2nd Place - Stan Pace; 3rd Place - Ty Garrett. The Big Bass Award was given to Leven Cox.

John Bollinger served as the 2003 President and Bud Jones is the Founding Father.

The Bassbusters will kick off the 2004 tournament season on April 4 with a tournament on Kentucky Lake.

Owning a boat is not required for membership.

Prospective members need to be at least 18 years of age.
