Born March 4, 1918, at Morrilton, Ark., to the late John Henry and Winnie Hubbard Kelley, he was a member of the Morehouse Church of Christ and a retired farmer.
On Dec. 23, 1939, at Sikeston, he married Ola Hill, who survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Billy Kelley and Allen Kelly of Essex; four daughters, Judy Armstrong of Clarksville, Tenn., Paula Byrd of Sikeston, Pam Woolsey of Carlock, Ill., and Regina Martin of Essex; one brother, J.W. Kelley of Booneville, Miss.; three sisters, Ellen McMillan of River Grove, Ill., and Jerelene Kreykendall and Bernice Cummings of Cahokia, Ill.; and 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Jerry Kelley; and one brother and three sisters.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Essex Cemetery with Dale Grissom officiating.
