Born Nov. 18, 1912, in Union City, Tenn., daughter of the late Nina Mae Rettig, she lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in East Prairie.
On Dec. 15, 1934, she married Dee Wolford who preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1992.
Survivors include: two sons, Daniel A. Wolford and Edward D. Wolford of East Prairie; four daughters, Carolyn J. Grisso of East Prairie, JoAnn W. Bell of Paducah, Ky., Joy N. Counts of Tampa, Fla., and Brenda Sipp of St. Louis; one sister, Beulah Couch of St. Louis; and 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Melvin Doyle Wolford and Talmage Dee Wolford; one daughter, Shirley Jean Wolford; and one sister, Marie Cline.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Friday at Shelby Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday with Richard Dement, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
