ORAN - Miss Frances Ellen DePriest, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James R. DePriest of Oran, was recently sworn in as a member of the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps at Jewish Hospital, St. Louis.

SALCEDO - Mr. and Mrs. Archie Jones of near Salcedo are parents of twins, a daughter and a son, born last Thursday. They have been given the names of Jeanette and Jimmy.

SIKESTON - In a flag-raising ceremony at the Fabick Bros. Equipment Company, Sikeston, the company was awarded an "E" pennant for excellence in exporting of heavy equipment. The announcement was made by A.L. Rasher Jr., director of the St. Louis office, U.S. Department of Commerce.

SIKESTON - The Department of Public Safety has moved a portion of its operations within the old City Administration Building, 215 N. New Madrid St. All persons conducting police business are asked to use the New Madrid Street entrance.

SIKESTON - Quarterback Bobby Landers attempted a pass to one of his Noranda teammates during Sikeston Jaycee Little League Football practice Thursday at the First United Methodist Church Field. Play in the football league resumes tomorrow at the Recreational Complex.
