SIKESTON - Edna Knox Woods, 96, died Oct. 17, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born April 27, 1908, in McCool, Miss., daughter of the late Wesley and Iva Ashford Knox, she lived in Missouri for more than 82 years. She attended Lincoln School, was a cook for several area families and was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir.

Survivors include: one stepson, L.V. Montjoy of Sikeston; two nieces Thelma Speller of Hazel Crest, Ill., and Quintelle McGee of St. Louis; and one nephew, Phillip Knox of Bollingbrook, Ill.

Visitation is from noon Saturday until service time at 1 p.m. at Smith Chapel United Methodist Church. The Rev. Byron Jordan, pastor, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Sunset of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.

Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
