I wanted to call about an officer in Sikeston. I had my brights on one night because it's hard for me to see at night. It was an emergency and I had to get out. This officer did a huge u-turn to pursue me for having my brights on. He pursued me all the way to my house. I'm up in my driveway. And if you try to pull me over while I'm in my driveway, that is illegal. That is trespassing on private property and I can charge you with harassment. You stopped in front of my house and flashed your bright light on me. This cop has been going back and forth in front of my house, waiting for me to drive just so he can have a reason to pull me over. I consider this harassment. I think that's sad for a Sikeston cop. If I see you sitting by my house and road just waiting for me to pull out, I will charge you with harassment. I will put it on the news. This is ridiculous. He needs to find a new job.

Thanks to Stoddard County and Wal-Mart. They provide the recycling bin and Wal-Mart provides the place. This is one of the best things for Sikeston to ever have. The person who is blaming Wal-Mart for having more trash is crazy. There's no way to know how much recyclable material was saved by not ending up on the streets or in a landfill. Whoever is complaining must not have one ounce of conservative blood or recyclable want-to. They must just be lazy. I have heard quite a few people saying we are lucky to have the recycle bin. Maybe we can get two bins to handle the overflow. Please put only what the signs say in each designated bin. Again, thanks for the bins.

How do these people get by with using the post office number and not the real place they are living at? They don't pay any bills or utility bills to live with someone else who does live there. The bills are all in their name and they draw welfare or child support.

I just finished watching KFVS, about that McClard boy in Jackson shooting that other boy. Well I tell you one thing, if KFVS would put decent programs on I don't think stuff like this would happen. But every night, Monday through Saturday, from 8 until 10, all there is is crime shows on. I think a lot of people get the wrong ideas. They need to clean up their act and put decent programs on for people to see. We're paying big bucks for cable and we're tired of seeing crime scenes.

Good evening. We were just wondering if someone could answer a question for us. When we went to school, if there was no school there was no ball games. But now they can miss a whole week of school and be having ball games while they're dismissed from school. I sure wish someone would explain that to me. I feel if there is no school, there should be no ball game. And another thing, these whiney teachers, they're always complaining they don't make nothing. Well heck, they don't work 12 months a year, they're off for three months. The other nine months they are either on Christmas break or Spring break or Holiday break or something. I don't think they've got it bad at all. They're just whining because they want to have something to do.

How dare you suggest we give our children up for adoption! For your information, I work my tail off to provide a good loving home for my children. I'm not on welfare, never have been. But to earn money, you have to work for it. I do not consider you as teachers babysitters for my children. But I do expect you to do your job, and you cannot do that if the children are not in school. I also work with them on reading and homework assignments. So don't you dare tell me I'm not being a good parent or I don't care, because I do! I understand in-service workshops may be necessary, but why can't you meet once a month right after school. Oh, I know - because it would be an inconvenience for you and your family. Heaven forbid that should happen!

This is in regards to the price increase of gas and diesel in Sikeston on Feb. 19. On Feb. 18, there was an oil refinery explosion in Texas. Yes, we know there's going to be a shortage of fuel. But why do they raise the price the next day for the gas they have in their tanks? Shouldn't they wait and see if there is going to be a price increase in fuel?
