Betty Purser

NEW MADRID - Betty L. Purser, 73, died Nov. 7, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born July 19, 1932, daughter of the late Albert Otis Allen and Martha Nancy Moore Ransburgh, she was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in New Madrid.

On Nov. 15, 1953, in Pocahontas, Ark., she married Sam Purser, who survives of the home.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by: one son, Albert Purser of New Madrid; three sisters, Ellender Thor of Hawaii, Ethel Riggs of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Margerie Morgan of Seattle, Wash.; three grandchildren, Albert Ransburgh Purser of New Madrid, Martha Elizabeth Purser Bragg of Portageville and Bridgett Michelle Purser of New Madrid; and three great-

grandchildren.

A funeral mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. today at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Madrid.

Burial followed at Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.

Richards Funeral Home Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
