POPLAR BLUFF -Harvey Butler, 40, died Monday, Nov. 7, 2005, at his residence.

Born Oct. 14, 1965, in Beauford, S.C., a longtime resident of Poplar Bluff, he was a dye caster for Briggs & Stratton. He attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

On Nov. 28, 1997, at Poplar Bluff. he married Dodi Sparks, who survives of the home.

He liked road trips, country drives, time spent with children and family, working on cars and he was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Also surviving are two sons, Troy Payne Butler and Thomas James Butler, both of Poplar Bluff; one daughter, Reagan Sparks of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Billie Lee Butler of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Nicole Loyd of Fisk; and his parents, Billie Jo and Goldie Butler of Poplar Bluff.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Burial will be in the Old Greenhill Cemetery. An open house will be held at the Butler home after the burial.
