SIKESTON -- David Michael Hill, 33, died Nov. 8, 2005, at his home in Sikeston following an extended illness.
Born Feb. 29, 1972, in Sikeston, son of Betty Jane Sides Hill of Sikeston and the late Paul E. Hill, he was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and attended New Dawn State School.
Survivors include: two brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul Gregory and Joy Hill of Jackson and Steven R. and Kathy Hill of Lowell, Ark.; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Debbie and Daniel Schuchart of Bloomfield, Camilla and Jere Sides of Charleston, Teresa Trucks of Festus and Dana and Brian Alexander of Hillsboro; and 10 nephews and 11 nieces.
In addition to his father, one sister, Catherine Diana Hill; his maternal grandparents, Robert and Lillie Sides; and his paternal grandparents, Sherman and Hazel Hill, preceded him in death.
David was an aspiring rock star, lover of Huey Lewis' music, "Jaws" movies and "The Dukes of Hazzard" television series. He made the world a much brighter place and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with the Rev. Scott Sunnenberg, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery near Morley.
